Minds of their own!

My characters do tend to take me over I find - even the animals. I did consider the possibility of a prequel to the Coronawar series but it is the threat of Covid that gives an added dimension to the lives of these people so for now we keep moving forward. The latest title, Invincible Assassin was borne of the blog and it quickly became a far less formal affair. A little touch of the 'Talking Heads' if you like in which each of the characters chatted informally with the reader about their life, what was going on in it, what they thought of what was going on in the world around them - and indeed, us and it was an opportunity to get to know them first hand as they related to the reader in the first person rather than have their story told in the third person with the ongoing events being narrated as a backdrop. So we have romance - perhaps in some unlikely quarters! We have health challenges to be faced, people are rethinking how they live their lives, family dynamics are changing. A lot more meat is being put on the bone! I keep saying there isn't another book to be pulled out of this but who knows - it is a moving feast. It was nice to see that some good things had come about as a result of the threat of the virus but there is still the threat of the second spike. Watch this space!
