36 years on!

That was when I started writing New Beginnings and I had a very clear plan to publish which is not something I had planned to do with any of my other writing around that time. Today, 30th. August 2020 I have realised that dream as it is now available from Amazon as a paperback as well as an Ebook.

On a different platform I have come in for some criticism with regards to the pricing of my work; it seems some people think I should give it away or sell for next to nothing. Well setting aside the enormous numbers of hours it takes to write, edit, proof read, edit again and so on I happen to respect my work and subscribe to the view that if you under price your work - any work, doesn't just means books - the perception is that it is cheap in a derogatory sense.

When you publish on Amazon they set parameters for the price you set. This book runs to over 430 pages and the minimum price point was £9.99. Had I priced it at that level by the time the print and delivery costs were deducted and Amazon took their cut I would clear the princely sum of 63p in royalties.

I rest my case.
