Books
The Coronavirus and the Covid-19 pandemic prompted me to write Invisible Assassin about characters living in a small Devon community and charting how their lives changed in the wake of the pandemic. This book turned out to be the first of four in what has become the Coronawar Series. All four books were written and published on Amazon during lockdown. They are each available as an Ebook or a paperback and have won five star reviews. Just follow the link!

Assassin On The Run ~ the second book
in the Coronawar Series
This book introduces the very diverse characters facing the challenges of the threat of Covid-19. They are trying to live normal lives in times that are anyhing but normal. These are very real people with very real issues.
Laugh with and at them, witness their dramas and join them on the roller coaster that is their lives. Above all else, enjoy the ride!

The Assassin Bites Back ~
the third book in the Coronawar Series
With lockdown measures in place there are high hopes that this virus can be beaten and even a vaccine produced. People are adapting to their lockdown lives - mostly - there are those who still flaunt the rules putting themselves and others at risk. We hook up with familiar characters and meet new ones as people face life's challenges against the narrative of the progress of the pandemic.

Merciless Assassin ~ the fourth book
in the Coronawar Series
Characters old and new run the whole gamut of human emotions as the virus continues to spread and take its toll. There are also some big surprises in store for some familiar faces. Despite having the highest rates of Covid-19 in Europe by a significant amount, restrictions are starting to be lifted with predictable results. The emphasis is on rebooting a crumbling economy but at what cost? Humour and hope in amongst the drama.
This is somewhat darker than the previous three books. We meet D.I. Cooper who is investigating a vicious rape and murder. His suspect does not seem to exist to all intents and purposes but he gets help from a rather unlikely source.
The pandemic is as real as ever though efforts are being made to return to normal life. The definition of 'normal', however, remains unclear.
As ever there is laughter and there are tears but there is still hope!
Latest in the Coronawar Series available as an Ebook from 4th. August 2020 ~ Paperback coming soon!
They are all back! All the characters who featured in the previous four books in the series are back! This time, however, they are talking directly to the reader giving their views on what is going on in their lives and in the world in general. In the course of just a few months there have been big changes in their lives not just due to the threat of the virus and these are ongoing. There is romance in the air for some, health challenges for others, a shift in the balance of some relationships and major lifestyle changes for others. Will there be happy endings? Maybe; hopefully - but this virus isn't going anywhere. It continues to kill indiscriminately and with the threat of a second spike, it seems that it is invincible.

The Coronawar Series is the most recentIy written work. However, there are other titles available and more to come very soon!

Four very different women come together to participate in some market research for a project run by an enigmatic Polish lady on a mission to get people talking openly about death and dying. The only thing these ladies have in common is that they are widows but their lives will change as a result of their meeting. This is not a depressing read! It is, as ever, character driven and will make you chuckle as well as maybe shed a tear.

Three ladies are friends living in a Devon village. One has lived there all her life and the other two are in-comers. One is a widow, one has never married and one is a bitter divorcee. They join in village activities together and take it in turn to host supper nights before picking the bones out of Strictly and drinking too much Pinot Grigio. But they have secrets which they would prefer remained secret.

One day The Barton, the big house on the edge of the village comes on the market having been in the same family for generations. When a man's body is found at The Barton the skeletons begin to come rattling out of the cupboards and the friends find that they have more in common than they thought. This will make you laugh and may even make you cry but you will feel that you know these women!

Katherine St. John is a business woman keen to give everyone the benefit of her experience yet learns about herself. Kelly is on her own with only two Jack Russells for company. Janet is a Mum and housewife well out of her comfort zone and Cassandra has the most dramatic tale to tell of all.
I never envisaged writing a sequel but reader reaction was such that I did. Moving On will be coming to Amazon soon.

Hard to believe but this frothy village romp was written twenty years ago!
Charlie Parsons and her husband move to a small village from London with very different ideas about retirement. Paul focuses on improving his golf handicap with his new found friend Chris. Charlie throws herself into village activities and finds herself chairing the committee in charge of organising the millennium celebrations.

Larger than life characters, this is a picture of village life many will recognise which borders on the farcical at times.

Debut Novel!
Cachet has dominated the world of ladies’ fashion for decades expanding steadily, taking over smaller players in the market. However, in 1985 predator has become prey and news that it is now being taken over marks the end of an era. It therefore has far reaching implications for key directors, executives and managers as they now face an uncertain future alongside the individual dramas playing out in each of their lives. We meet them, get to know them intimately, understand how they have arrived at where they are, what their fears and concerns are and we are intrigued as to their outcomes. All of this unfolding against the backdrop of the fast paced, ruthlessly competitive yet sexy world of ladies’ fashion.
Vibrant and diverse characters whose stories provoke strong emotions be they shock, empathy, concern, sadness or amusement. As they unfold they are sprinkled liberally with sex and some violence as we are drawn into a world where there were no mobile phones, people could smoke and drink in their offices and what seemed to be excessive to some was the norm for others. An age and environment where political correctness had not even been thought about far less entered the vocabulary! This most certainly was the real world of the time yet the personal fears and issues are still real and relevant thirty five years on.

Meet the directors: C.J. irascible Chairman who started the business with his childhood friend – how hard is it to let go? Tom McCallister, charismatic MD set to continue his distinguished career until a ghost from the past threatens to destroy his gilded future. Howard Goldman, dynamic commercial force behind this daring and ambitious takeover.
Meet the Buyers: Chrissie St. Clare, Barbara Moss and Simon Thackery. Chrissie is about as unorthodox as it gets but is a genius at what he does. Barbara is a doyenne in the business and Simon… perhaps he is his own worst enemy – a victim of his own success.
Meet the Area Managers – the people on the ground driving the business.
Annie MacGuire – a queen bee who has history with Tom. It is unthinkable that she will not be kept on. Unthinkable! Terry Nelson who has known Tom longer than any of the others but is under no illusions so sees no value in loyalty. Jenny Barnes who seeks the courage to deal with an abusive, alcoholic husband. Sandy Carter – what is more colourful – her backstory or her future?
Added to which you have Jane, Tom’s loyal P.A., Kate Marshall, Head of Display who is middle aged, insecure and still mourning the death of her lover. Most shocking of all, perhaps, is the HR Manager, Maggie Fisher who is not all she seems. All of these and an equally colourful supporting cast playing their part and making their contribution.
Secrets emerge, old scores are settled. Happy endings? Yes but also tragedy and the penalties to be paid when playing a dangerous game in which you are out of your depth.
New Beginnings beckon for all but in what form will they take?
